DARKNESS
In this new series of images I am experimenting with graphite powder on boards prepared with a clay finish.
After a stain process, which can be repeated several times playing with the drying times, I look for ways that remind me of something human and that is when I go to the drawing phase with rubber and graphite pencils and oil in some areas .
I finally apply the varnishes, transparent or with some color, matt or bright, to finally finish the image.
THE VISITORS
From a very young age, my imagination took a toll on me, especially at night. The recurring nightmares of my childhood have been recorded in memory. Dark dreams where monsters came to visit me and "saw" them floating in front of the bed. Screams of terror that my parents placated as they could leaving a light on in the hallway. On other occasions, however, I did not scream and stared at the shadows that formed in front of my bed waiting for them to leave soon or for the dream to overcome me and the nightmare to begin again.
Of course, years later, I read Creepy magazine and horror movies became a necessity. Life things!
In this series and taking advantage of this technique, I will remember again some of those beings who accompanied me in the bedroom.
